Geneva motor show: Alpina shows new B7 Bi-Turbo:

The BMW tuners from Alpina dropped their latest 7-series based B7 at the Geneva motor show. Building on the Bimmer’s latest flagship sedan, Alpina performs engine, suspension and appearance upgrades.

Nissan scales back on auto shows:

Nissan said on Friday that it will not participate in some of the major auto shows in its new business year starting April 1, Reuters is reporting.

The reason: to save money. This means no Nissan display at the show in Frankfurt in September and probably another absence in Detroit in January 2010.

Volkswagen Shows Off 57 mpg Sporty Drop-Top

Herbie and the talking Beetle in the VW commercials have a new reason to feel inferior – and this time it’s not Brooke Shields trying to sell rebadged Chrysler Minivans.
