Suzuki sedan heads for December introduction in the United States:

It’s been awhile since we’ve shown you some spy art of Suzuki’s upcoming sport sedan foreshadowed by the Kizashi concepts.

But we got a fresh look at the car on Thursday–with the “spy” art helpfully provided by Suzuki. It was attached to a “save the date” e-mail to members of the North American Car and Truck of the Year jury.

American Suzuki PR honcho Jeff Holland says the sport sedan goes on sale here in December.

Tesla Model S: $50,000 Electric Sedan Unveiled

Tesla Motors, the California start-up behind the high-performance, all-electric Tesla Roadster, has unveiled its next product: a luxurious four-door electric sedan available for half the Roadster’s price.

Edmunds Inside Line reports, “The Model S will seat up to seven people, will accelerate from zero to 60 in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 135 mph, and will have a driving range of up to 300 miles,” according to Read more…

Infiniti to offer hybrid version of M sedan in 2010:

Infiniti used the Geneva motor show debut of the exciting Essence concept car to remind us that hybrid powertrains are coming to every model in its lineup over the next few years.

With a total of 600 hp from the combination of a 3.7-liter V6 and an electric motor, it was hard not to overlook this hybrid, which garnered AutoWeek’s Best in Show award at Geneva.

BMW releases sketchy video on Progressive Activity Sedan:

Simply calling it a “car,” or perhaps “wagon,” just isn’t how BMW rolls. And today we’re getting more information on its curiously-titled Progressive Activity Sedan.

Called PAS for short, we expect the vehicle to be unveiled sometime this year. BMW has released a video of it, showing cartoonish sketches of the vehicle and its functions.

Suzuki says mid-sized sedan will come to U.S. as planned:

Suzuki, refuting media reports from Japan on Monday, said it still plans to release a mid-sized sedan based on the Kizashi 3 concept in the United States this year.

The Nikkei business daily reported that production plans for the car had been shelved.

“The production version will debut at this year’s New York auto show in April,” said Jeff Holland, spokesman for American Suzuki Motor Corp.

Suzuki puts kibosh on Kizashi sedan, report says:

Japanese automaker Suzuki has backed off plans to build large cars and build assembly plants overseas, according to a report in the Nikkei business newspaper.
